Electric tangerine has slowly been manifesting its colour in
fashion, cosmetics and interior spaces. Now finally, Pantone has revealed
Tangerine Tango as their 2012 Colour of the Year! And here at Ruby & the
Swallow, we couldn’t be more excited because, as you can see, tangerine is part
of our blog’s colour palette!
Bright colours are going to be big in 2012, not only in fashion,
but in weddings too. Combining intense orange with soft pastels is set to be a
huge trend for 2012, already being seen on the runways.
We’re already trying to find ways to
incorporate this colour into our wardrobes and homes, what about you? Tangerine
adds a vivacious flair to nails, lips and cheeks, and adds a dynamic burst of
colour when paired with muted-down and pastel fashion items. Use a bright
orange bag, or tangerine pumps to spruce up your wardrobe. Spice up any room in
your house with bright orange pillows or accessories for an exciting pop of
colour, or even energise a room with a tangerine accent wall.
