The swallow print trend has really taken off this season (pun not intended!)... it started with Mui Mui's print but now all the designers have brought back bird prints, with swallows being a swift favourite! Our feathery friends can now be seen on everything from dresses to blouses to jewellery - and we LOVE it.
The one thing we love about fashion is that it never stands still! And obviously the two of us here at Ruby & the Swallow adore this trend - we thought that it was about time for it to get it's own board considering we gave half our name to this little creature :) The swallow is a whimsical but modern motif, making each piece oh-so-gorgeous with it's timeless print.

The print works best on simple shapes such as dresses, in either monochrome, brights or muted colors - the style can be adapted to any occasion. Swallow print is perfect for a pretty, casual daytime outfit - team a swallow print skinny tee, and add jeans and a cardi.
How gorgeous are all of these swallow print items?! Some of our favourites here are dusty pink swallow print headband; the designer cover umbrella patterned with swooping swallows from Woolies at R99,95; and the oh-so-cute swallow print panties from lingerie brand Pull In SA.
We couldn't have featured these gorgeous birds without mentioning their prevalence in jewellery!
