28 May - 09 June - The Collective in Morningside is hosting Drawn In, an exhibition to showcase the work of illustrators and animators in Durban. The theme for the exhibition is "Naivety without Innocence". Entrance is free and the gallery is open from Monday to Friday 10am - 5pm and Saturday 10am - 2pm. Click here for more information.
31 May - 01 June - Moyo uShaka Pier is hosting the annual Fashion by the Sea show. There will be 6 shows, 12 which will be featured designers, and four of which are new comers on the scene. Click here for information about the shows. Headliners include Leigh Schubert, David Tlale and Gavin Rajah. The cost is R50 per person.
01 June - Local eatery, Haibo will be hosting a Creation Wine Tasting Evening at 7pm for R185 per person. Join Creation's assistant winemaker, Weber du Plessis and experience some wine tasting. The price includes wine paired with various meals provided by Haibo. A night not to be missed by wine lovers. Click here for more information about what's included in the price.
02 June - Our favourite market, The I heart Market is happening at Moses Mabhida Stadium as usual. Look out for our guest post on that market day on their blog!
03 June - And as usual, the Wonder Market is happening at Chris Saunders park. Look out for fresh food, great arts and crafts and a cool vibe.
05 June - Get dressed for success and head on down to the Durban ICC for an awesome Roxette concert. The show starts at 8pm, and tickets range from R320 to R480 per person. Check out computicket for more information.
06 June - The Umhlanga Farmer's Market is still a market that we have to explore. Expect a small market with fresh farm fruit, dried fruit, nuts, vegetables and freshly cut herbs and flowers. The market runs from 10am to 1pm and entrance is free. Find it on Autumn Drive, Prestondale.
07 June - Famous ventriloquist comedian, Jeff Dunham, is back in South Africa and this time is making a stop here in Durbs. The show starts at 8pm at the Durban ICC. Tickets cost between R250 - R300 per person. Find out more here.
10 June - The Old Mutual Music at the Lake sees Mango Groove on stage. The show starts at 2.30pm at the Durban Botanical Gardens. Tickets are R120 per person, and R50 per child. Bring a blanket and some picnic goodies to make an afternoon of it.
16 - 17 June - Petrol heads will know that the Top Gear Festival is hitting Moses Mabhida stadium this ear. Expect a chariot ride from the presenters and other incredible stunts. With the sporting theme running rife at this festival, it promises to be a fun 2 days. Tickets are from R250 to R995 per person. Click here for more information.
29 June - 08 July - The East Coast Radio House and Garden Show promises to inspire and bring out the inner decorator in you! Explore all sorts of house and garden related things at the Durban ICC. Tickets are R60 for adults, R45 for seniors and kids get in free. The show runs from Monday to Thursday 10am to 9pm, Friday to Saturday 10am to 10pm and Sunday from 10am to 8pm.
