On trend: lovely in lace

Remember the Royal Wedding last year? Well one year on and Kate Middleton's dress, featuring a prominent lace bodice, is being copied the world over. And its obvious why! If you want to look like a princess on your wedding day, lace will take you there. There is no doubting just how much we love this trend. Its sexy and girly all at the same time. Lace can be worn on any occasion, whether it be a girl's night out or to a wedding. If you're the bride, lace wedding dresses are completely in right now.
Once only reserved for lingerie, lace is now showing up everywhere. It is beautiful, allowing for a vintage yet romantic look - the way that lace is used nowadays is exciting and contemporary though, so don't think that by wearing it you are going to look like you trawled your granny's cupboard! Black, white and nude lace are the classics - wear these with a pair of well-tailored pants or a blazer, and you are on your way. Avoid wearing lace on lace.
Like with most fashion trends, wedding dresses are always changing. But lace is a current winner in the wedding fashion department, making its biggest statement at the Royal wedding, and now it is all the rage this year. We have not seen a bride yet who has worn lace on her wedding day and not looked absolutely gorgeous. See below for all the different styles you can choose from. And if you think lace is a bit daring for you on your Big Day, why not dress your bridesmaids in sweet lace dresses?
