A four day fashion extravaganza ended this week in Joburg. We wish we could have been at the Crown Plaza Hotel to witness for ourselves the Autumn/Winter 2013 collections at South African Fashion Week! We had some homegrown love in Joburg this weekend with Durban designers Amanda Laird Cherry, Colleen Eitzen, Andre Martin, Karen Monk Klijnstra, Kathrin Kidger, Joel Janse van Vuuren, Cindy Armstrong, Hanrie Lues and Bianca Warren.
Collections for the Autumn and Winter season were dominated by black, grey and white with spring colours, florals and neons staying on as accents and accessories. Big designers included Black Coffee, Clive Rundle, TWO, Funduzi, House of Ole. While the show attracted a generous number of fashionistas, it was Rubicon, Palse Homme and Gert-Johan Coetzee's slot that was highly anticipated. The Renault New Talent Search showcase was won by designer Zano Sitheto (see two of his pieces at the last pic).
What did you think of this year's designs?
