Birthday Invites {Inspiration}

Hey Rubies! It's Fil here and I thought I would show you the invites that I sent to my friends for my Birthday Breakfast this Saturday. I kept it to the peach, grey and white theme that I told you guys about a while a go and just kept it simple with a retro feeling typeface and pattern. I made some in grey and some in peach and then split them amongst the people I invited. It's not something they would know about, but I found it fun anyway! :)  I'm designing a few other bits and pieces to go onto the table, so have a look and see what's been inspiring me lately.
I love the look of the way the ribbons tie around the boxes (picture 1). It's so simple, but effective right? I was inspired by these menus (picture 2) for my invites. I love the mix of patterns with bits of text in stark white shapes. I really like the look of this table (picture 3) and all it's pretty pastels. I'm pretty limited with what I can do, being that breakfast will be in a restaurant, but I love the look of these pastel bowls filled with little sweeties. Because I have lots of friends coming that don't all know each other  a seating plan is necessary - let's not make it awkward for people, right? I love the style of name tags pegged onto the glasses (picture 4) and the metallic bunting on the other escort cards is so on trend (picture 5). Sometimes it's best to keep things simple (well, that's what I think!) and to me, this kraft brown wrapped box (picture 6) with a simple white and navy striped ribbon is perfection. I wonder what treats await in that little box?
