Save the Dates {Inspiration}

We have been working on some save the dates for a very good friend of ours that is getting married this September. We just love the idea of incorporating engagement or couple shoot photographs into them! It give great use to the photographs and makes for a wonderful keepsake for your guests. And with examples like these, we dare you not to like the idea!
We think save the dates should be on the playful side. It's your chance to show off your fun side as a couple and to create excited anticipation for your guests! They need not contain volumes of information, just things like the name of the couple and the date of your wedding. If you are planning a destination wedding, or if guests may be in doubt as to where the wedding may be, you can include a simple one liner detailing the province or city. Think of using fun props like a balloon in this save the date, or a simple tag like the above save the date. We love this couple's use of a photo booth - how fun!
If you prefer something on the more serious side, great close up shots will work beautifully like the top left save the date. Pair a black and white photo with a bold graphic like this save the date, or add some fun sparkle and glitter like above save the date. Don't you think it looks great? If you absolutely love your photograph, then let it be the main focus by dividing your save the date in two and leaving the photo clear of text. We love the bottom left example for the way it's done it.
