Bloom's Cafe {Midlands Meander}

If you're ever in the Nottingham Road vicinity of the Midlands Meander, be sure to give Bloom's Cafe a visit. Set in an old converted barn and a cobblestone courtyard, this is any foodies dream. Focusing on wholly organic and local product, Bloom Cafe serves mostly vegetarian food that is homely, nourishing and delicious. A fireplace in winter makes this large setting cosy and warm, with paintings adorning the walls to keep your eyes busy.
In the afternoons, expect a delicious spread of freshly prepared soups, salads and light lunches on their harvest table and their breakfasts are equally rewarding with a table of freshly baked goods like scones, polenta cake and carrot cake. Take it from us, the good old plain scrambled eggs are delicious. (And who says organic doesn't taste different,hey?)
If it's a shopping experience you're after, Bloom can satisfy any ceramic obsession with a vast collection of Michael Haigh ceramics (featured in Taste Magazine and on the cover of the Midlands Meander travel guide). There are countless goods on display from egg cup holders to milk jugs, bowls, plates and tea cups. These make a perfect and unique gift, so stock up one a few items for Christmas time!
