Elegant. Country. Tranquil. These are just a few ways one can describe the beautiful Camp Orchards Boutique Resort. If you haven't heard of this venue before, you will find it nestled in the town of Hillcrest amongst rolling valleys and pastures bordered by their famous orchard of trees. At the heart of the venue is the homestead of the Colle family, who run this scenically picturesque resort themselves.

A year and a half ago, we were privileged to design Wedding Branding and a Save the Date for a wedding to be held at Camp Orchards. What made it even more special was that the groom is a part of the Colle family; Edward and Sarah were married at their family venue last year. They introduced us to this wedding venue, and we have since been enthralled by this delightfully upmarket resort - and we love that they've introduced a Country Store and their own Spa! Where: You will find us nestled in the little town of Hillcrest, amongst rolling valleys and pastures bordered by our famous avenues of plain trees and cushioned by spreads of natural grass. Nguni Cattle and the magnificent bird life keep our pastures alive and at the heart of it all is the homestead of The Colle Family, who would like to share this scenically enchanting piece of South Africa with you. Camp Orchards is half an hour from Durban and 45 min from PMB .

As one drives into Camp Orchards you are saluted by the plain trees that stand tall creating a canopy of greenery, the Nguni herd are ambling through the padocks and the rolling pastures that nestle the magnificent Colle homestead leave you captivated. Before you know it the 100 m driveway is behind you and you are standing in front the arching barn shaped door enticing you to walk in.

Beauty aside, Camp Orchards boasts convenience across the board! The Accommodation, Party Hire and Spa culminated with the elite list of Preffered Suppliers makes imagining your wedding day at Camp Orchards no hard task!

This venue comes together to bring what we believe is the new South African fairytale for all brides.

Do you have a chapel?

Camp Orchards aims to offer every bride a choice of matrimony venues! Should you wish to utilize the quaint chapel, it seats up to 80 people. This includes the pulpit and white cross–back chairs, and this excludes the minister and music.

Do you allow for a garden ceremony?
An outdoor ceremony is a dream come true for many brides. We know that our spectacular setting will make for a picturesque ceremony, and you can choose from the setting in front of the Chapel, the Garden Pavilion and the Paddock. We know that our spectacular setting will make for a picturesque ceremony. Visit us and walk around the different garden ceremony locations mentioned above to find just the right outdoor setting for you. Brides can choose to hire our folding Café Chairs or our Plastic Chairs for R25 p/chair with an additional R1000 for set up and break down. Brides are also welcome to manage their own seating and staffing for the ceremony.

What does the venue package include and what size wedding can you host?
The venue can seat up to 200 guests (150 guests comfortably inside the venue and 50 guests seated at tables outside on the verandahs.) 


This includes: 
-  2 types of chairs (a plastic chair with a chair cover, or wooden cross 
back chairs)
- 2 types of Tables (metal trestle tables, or a teak tables)
- 3 couches
- 2 side tables
- Tablecloths and napkins
- Basic crockery, cutlery and glasses
- 8 garden cottages for the bridal party on the Night of the wedding .No 
more than two guests per cottage.
- 1 superior bridal suite cottage for the bridal couple on the night of the wedding.
- Breakfast on the Sunday morning for 18 guests.



Do you have a wedding planner or facilitator?
No, although our very own Colle team of ladies have a knack for creating beautiful events and are happy to share their thoughts and ideas with you. Rest assured that someone will be there by your side facilitating on the day of your wedding. We are also happy to recommend some of the best wedding planners we know!

How does your catering work?
We have worked with some amazing caterers and with the greatest confidence encourage our brides to select a supplier from our directory. Currently we have two caterers on hand, Aubergine and Food Matters.

Do you offer accommodation?
- 8 garden cottages for the bridal party on the Night of the wedding .No 
more than two guests per cottage.
- 1 superior bridal suite cottage for the bridal couple on the night of the wedding.

Is there space for the bridal party to get ready on the day?
Any of the 8 cottages or our luxurious Spa can be used for the bridal party to get prepped and pampered.



What time is the venue available until?
In keeping our neighbours happy, please understand that music and wedding venue will be shut down strictly at 12 midnight.

Do you have specific suppliers?
We encourage all our brides to select suppliers from our directory. Each supplier has worked numerous events at Camp Orchards and works with ease within the Camp Orchards kitchen or venue. Their time working past functions at Camp Orchards makes them a team of qualified professionals worthy of meeting our Camp Orchards standards.


Tell us about your bar?
Camp Orchards is a fully licensed facility. The bar at the wedding venue will provide all alcohol and drinks. We offer a cash bar or a pre-paid bar with a limit. If you would like to bring in your own wines we charge a R45 corkage fee per bottle.

Do you offer parking?
There is ample parking within the use of the paddocks

What are the costs to hire Camp Orchards?
Costs: Total: R 50 000. 10 % Damages Deposit – R 5000 Grand Total: R 55 000. Please note that pricing is subject to change, and will be revised for 2015.

Party Hire
We understand that sometimes planning a wedding or event can be daunting. Dealing with outsourced party hire companies can become costly and time consuming. With this in mind, we have decided to open a party hire section within our Country Store, offering you the widest range of décor to suit your event.

Country Store & Wedding Registy
We have a beautifully recently revamped Country Store. This now offers a Wedding Registry, which keeps current with the timeous décor and gift trends. We advise popping into our shop to see just what we have in store for you this month as it is just that extra something that makes your special day unique.
