{Kim} After being highly recommended by an Australian couple I met, I decided to go and see the Phuket FantaSea show. While being very touristy, which is generally not my cup of tea - picture paying atrocious prices to have your photo taken with tigers and elephants - it ended up being a great time. After a buffet dinner and wondering around the beautiful theme park, the show began. It included aerial ballet and acrobatics, fireworks on stage, stunning costumes, magnificent props, comedy, waterfalls, and an entire zoo of animals (a tiger, about ten elephants, buffalo, goats, chickens, doves - I'm not kidding!).
{Fil} I'm finally getting a chance to put my birthday present to good use and am going to be trying out a recipe from Nigella's latest cookbook, Nigellissima. This is a Meringue Gelato Cake with Chocolate Sauce, and I can't wait to get stuck in! I'll be documenting it, so expect pics of the finished result next week!
{Kim} We hired a motorcycle for the day and rode along the Phuket coast. We came to this viewpoint of Kamala Beach and had to stop to take it all in - breathtaking.
{Fil} I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many bikini's. Right ladies? That's why I was so delighted to stumble upon a CottonOn bikini sale this past weekend. I got this great bikini (well I think it's great!) for R80. Yip, each piece was R40. Score.
{Kim} Another, very different, show I went to see in Phuket was the Simon Cabaret. It was so enjoyable and the costumes were fab - as was the entire cast of ladyboys lovely women. Ahem.
{Fil} I decided to expand my Nikon family and picked up this sexy little item over the weekend. Don't get me wrong; I love my Coolpix P7000. I just wanted something a little smaller, that I could slip into my handbag for weekend snaps. And I found all that and more in my new Nikon Coolpix S01. Let me tell you one thing; this photo does not do justice to the size of this camera. It's literally a few cm's bigger than a matchbox! It's insane. And it comes with an internal memory of 7gigs (literally thousands of photos worth), is 10 mega pixels and doubles up as a mirror. Far to pleased with this purchase!
{Kim} Kata Beach was the destination for the last part of my Thailand trip... and it was so gorgeous there, and so worth going away from the hustle and bustle of Patong.
